Lucknow: A satirical talk programme was organised in SR College in which the famous satirist Pankaj Prasoon read out the compositions of his new book ‘Sach Bolna Paap Hai’. He said that the real representative of Lucknowi tehzeeb is the city bus conductor, he keeps talking till every empty space in the bus is filled! His catchphrase is “Get a grip because you are in Lucknow”. He said about social media “We are filling ourselves with artificial emotions, nowadays we are liking posts and not friends”.
He said that the popular couplet of Kabir Das should be read upside down in the current context “ झूठ बराबर तप नहीं साँच बराबर पाप जाके हिदये झूठ है, वह दुनिया का बाप”
Special guest of the program Alankar Rastogi said “Pankaj’s satires are like bitter medicine wrapped in the syrup of humor, which are readable and have tremendous lethal power.
Publisher Ashok Gupta who came from Delhi said that the satire should be such that you prick the person in front with a pin and he starts laughing.
In the program MLC, Sitapur Pawan Singh Chauhan said that Pankaj Prasoon is taking the tradition of satire of Lucknow forward with full hard work and dedication. The jam-packed auditorium echoed with the applause and laughter of hundreds of listeners, including Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman of SR Group.
